HVAC Technician $27.00–$37.00 per hour

Responsibilities And Duties
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Maintain a strong understanding of indoor air quality products and home comfort solutions.
- Repair or service heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems to improve their performance and efficiency.
- Test pipe and tubing joints for leaks using pressure gauges or soap-and-water solutions.
- Test electrical circuits and components for continuity using electrical testing equipment.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components and wiring.
- Clearly explain recommended solutions and system needs to customers.
- Build strong customer rapport and deliver a high level of satisfaction on every service call.
- Maintain the inventory carried in the company service vehicle.
- Keep the vehicle, tools and supplies clean and organized.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation with other technicians.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous experience as an HVAC service technician or comparable HVAC education.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- EPA certification.
- Experience operating and maintaining chillers, heat pumps, air handlers and geothermal systems.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs, crawl and lift at least 40 pounds.
- Ability to work in hot attics, crawl spaces and other confined areas.
- Outgoing and personable attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.

- Complete required paperwork in accordance with Summit Services’ installation process.
- Accurately inventory installation materials and assign them to the appropriate job cost.
- Install and configure communicating HVAC equipment.
- Clearly explain the operation of newly installed systems to customers.
- Build strong customer rapport and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain the inventory carried in the company service vehicle.
- Keep the vehicle, tools and supplies clean and organized.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation when required for the position.
